Poll of Montana Voters

January 28, 2025

Bipartisan polling firm RABA Research conducted an online survey of 501 registered voters in Montana from January 21 – 26, 2025. The survey looked at respondents’ opinions on workers’ rights, autonomous vehicles, and legislative priorities.

80% of respondents, an overwhelming number, oppose “efforts that would reduce safety protections and wages for Montana’s workers”.

  • The results of this survey show 87% of voters would be “less likely to support my legislator if they voted to weaken workers’ rights”.

Currently, Montana’s legislators are considering allowing autonomous vehicles on Montana’s roads. When asked to best describe their comfort with sharing the roads with autonomous vehicles, 76% of respondents said they are uncomfortable. Further, 85% said they would not be comfortable sharing the road with “driverless semi-trucks / tractor trailers”.

When asked “which of the following issues do you believe is the highest priority for Montana” the survey found:

  • Housing – 54%
  • Taxes – 20%
  • Healthcare – 17%
  • Jobs – 10%
